The Doctor and Rose ? "You want me to do what?”

Rose crouched behind the large box on the side of the room. Adrenaline was pumping through her veins as the Doctor was running about doing god knows what with the cybermen just generally wasting time and talking rubbish. The Doctor suddenly ran up behind Rose and joined her in her hiding spot.

“Rose! Do you see the platform over there?” The Doctor asked, rushed. Not waiting for an answer, he continued, “I need you to run over and stand on that platform and get all the attention of the cybermen.”

“You want me to do what?” Rose asked, surprised.

“Platform. You. Attention of the cybermen. Can you do that for me?” The Doctor said, peeking around the corner of their box.

“But that’s suicide!” Rose exclaimed.

“No! Well, usually yes, but I have a plan!” he explained. Rose gave him a pointed look. “I know it’s unusal but I have one. Just trust me.”

Rose sighed, but really there wasn’t a better option. They were going to find her here eventually anyway. She ran around the side of the room to a platform near the front of the room.

“Look at me! I’m a target!” She yelled. Well that certainly got their attention as they started to walk over. She backed up until she hit a wall. The cybermen were still advancing. “Doctor!” she yelled “Anytime now would be lovely!”

That’s when the Doctor jumped onto the platform with her and did that last thing she expected. He pulled her into a long, deep kiss. She was faintly aware of some noise of the cybermen, spazzing? When the doctor broke the kiss she saw that the nearest cybermen had collapsed and the others were backing away as quick as possible. He looked at her with a dopey grin.

“It’s the one thing that cybermen don’t understand. Their weakness. They don’t know love. It’s too powerful for them.”
